“I feel like I’m invisible when I’m around him.”
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had a woman tell me something like that.
You really like a guy. You want him to notice you. But when you’re near him, it’s like you’re part of the wallpaper. His eyes seem to pass right over you. You might as well be invisible.
It makes you feel unwanted. Unattractive.
The experience can make you want to hide. It can make you want to give up on the guy you like.
But don’t blame him. And don’t blame yourself. Instead, blame your clothes.
You’ve probably heard the phrase, “Clothes make the man.”
Well, what about women? Can wearing the right clothes really make a guy interested in you?
Absolutely. And I’m not talking about clothing options that might make you blush either!
It also doesn’t mean you have to give up your fashion sense. After all, that’s part of who you are.
But what if I told you that you could easily incorporate two scientifically-proven tricks?
All it takes is a few totally wholesome additions to your wardrobe. The guy you like won’t want to leave your side!
What’s the secret? Research shows certain types of clothing attract attention and touch.
Yes, you read that correctly. Wearing the right thing makes him more likely to notice you. It makes him more likely to touch you.
And if he’s watching you and touching you, that’s a pretty good place to be, right?
So what are these two secrets?
Be soft and silky. Studies tell us people like to touch soft textures. They feel pleasant. Soothing. Cozy. Safe. Cuddly.
I’m using these specific words for a reason – they’re the exact words used by the subjects in those studies.
So if you wear soft textures around your guy, he’ll want to touch you. And you will feel pleasant. Soothing. Cozy. Safe. Cuddly.
Even better, he’ll start to think of you as someone pleasant and soothing. Someone he might want to cuddle with.
Great soft, silky fabrics to try include faux fur, silk, velvet, suede, rayon, microfiber, and others. Even cotton has positive associations.
Bottom line? Go for fabrics that make you want to reach out and touch them. Chances are, he will, too.
Wear the color of passion. One specific color has been shown time and again to increase feelings of passion. To bolster feelings off attraction. Do you know what it is?
Red.
Yep. Not only does red stand out and draw attention. Wear it and you’re more likely to get him thinking amorous thoughts.
So buy that red dress you’ve been debating on. Or add a touch of red with lipstick. Maybe a red scarf. You have all kinds of options available.
For bonus points, try to find something red that’s also soft and silky!
Don’t fall into the “invisibility trap.”
The next time you know you’re going to be around the guy you like, plan your wardrobe accordingly. Red to ignite his passion. Soft to seem soothing and approachable.
If all goes well, he’ll be eating out of the palm of your hand… or at least stroking the sleeve of your blouse.
It’s funny you say that. The same day I read this we opened up our Christmas gifts finally. Mine from him included a very soft fuzzy white shirt, very soft pajamas, and a very soft fuzzy scarf!
Couldn’t agree more! Men are very visual and they love a well dressed, classy lady, just like we women like a man who dresses well, it’s visually appealing. I’ve always been aware of how much more attention I get when I am very well dressed, colors and outfits! I feel better too, clothes do make the woman/man!!!
