Thanks Heidi – really appreciate you following up. Answers to your question:

1.What are his reasons for never wanting to get married? He says he doesn’t know, he said that going through his divorce was the worst thing ever and is scared of that.
2. What was happening in your relationship that the sex stopped for the past year? I was trying to find my spirituality outside of church and I always felt guilty when we were intimate.
3. You only wanted to get married for religious reasons? There are no other reasons? You feel completely peaceful and happy now to never get married? Yes, for religious reasons, for security reasons. At this point, having done so much work on myself, I am at peace and feel more secure now. Security for me now is not about marriage but how our relationships are not only to our intimate partners but also to our family, friends, and our community.

I do agree with you in disconnecting, and I started that Apr 9, but yesterday, he called me for help with his taxes, and I helped him. But I was not emotional and treated him like a friend. I do have 2 questions:
1. It is his birthday Apr 18, I’m guessing I shouldn’t text him to wish him a happy birthday?
2. Is it ok to date while in the no-contract period?
