Thank you so much Heidi. My condolences to you too. I thought I was prepared but the reality is that you’ll never be prepared to say goodbye to a loved one.

So I texted him the following:

“ Hey. I hope you had a great week. My father passed away 10 mins after we arrived at the hospital on Tuesday night 💔 I’m still in shock. We’re flying back home tomorrow. I need a good hug.”

He replied:

“I’m so sorry. What a blessing you made it before though.”

I replied:

“Thank you… I think so”

He definitely changed. I’m in shock. I’m 45 and he is 57. I wasn’t expecting him to react like this because the text I sent last week with my apologies afterwards.

Should I just move on if he doesn’t reach out to me?
