Hi Heidi –

I have been with my husband for 17yrs. He was my boyfriend since college, then he emigrated. We had been on LDR for almost 6yrs until we decided to get married. During those times, I did not entertain anyone until I met my special friend few months before my wedding. I considered more than a friend that if asked me, I would call off the wedding. But he left. My husband knew about that but he insisted that we pursue with the wedding. We have been married for 6yrs and have been living together for 4yrs. We have been struggling to have a child. He was thinking that I have been depressed because of that and because I have been working from home due to pandemic.

Yes, I expected that me and my special friend would leave our husband and wife to be together. That was what I thought he wanted that’s why I agreed to become his mistress.

He has been verbally abusive, I admit. I don’t want that but every time I call his attention, he would argue that I am becoming so dramatic. I was not allowed to complain. Because I was afraid to lose him, I allowed his behavior. Until the last email I sent hime wherein I was so mad and told him that he did not own me so he has no right to treat me in that manner. He tried to reach out to me but I did not answer his calls. He sent messages that he also deleted before I got the chance to read them. I have no idea what his response what to my email.

Since he does not want anyone to know about our communication, he asked me not to tell anyone. I don’t have anyone to talk to. I have been reading some of your books – trying to find the book about the 3 text messages to make him chase you. I want to have my friend back. I have this guilt feeling that I probably did not respect him that’s why things happened. Since I’m clingy to him, I feel that I did not gave him his personal space, asked and expected too much. I have been sending him emails trying to win him back.
