So, just wanted to update.
I replied (2wks) later to his message w/ a happy valenine’s day message. Thanked him for his kindness, understanding and for being a good friend to me, on a really bad day. I joked that if we were in the same city, I’d invite him out to eat chicken legs (inside joke) He replied: “HvD to you too, K❤️” and said:
“thank you for your words but you never have to thank me for being your friend. It’s my pleasure and a very special part of my life”He said, “Missing you” and said he’d LOVE to go have wings with me & cracked a joke, as well.
So overall, my take is that, we’re in a solid place as friends; and that yes, we care for one another and value our friendship. And maybe in the future, there’s hope for more?… Thoughts?
Thank you for the response and objectivity on confirming my instincts that, he does still, care for me. Sometimes, I need that objectivity from others, as it’d be easy for me to read what I want him to say. I appreciate and like the suggestions of flirting as to keep that little flame alive and yes, there’s so much I could learn from these programs. Thank you.
Our lives are complicated, jobs, exes, kids…. so we were together for a while but we’ve stayed very close friends; he’s sort of married to his job.
And yes, at some point, I’d like to get back together, but I need to resolve some stuff on my end, myself. But I do still have feelings for him and care for him deeply; that’s why his friendship matters to me.
If anything, I wanted an objective opinion, like yours, to know that he still cares for me as well. And I’ll take any pointers that will eventually lead to us exploring again what we had before. Thank you.
